Before the installation:
– cPanel / WHM should be setup on a freshly installed operating system. The installer will install all of the services it needs.
– There is no uninstaller. Once you have installed cPanel software, you must reinstall the server to remove it.
– Supported operation systems are CentOS 5.x, CentOS 6.x and CloudLinux.
– Minimum hardware requirements are at least 2 VPS.NET nodes.
Installation:
Install some cPanel’s prerequisites:
# yum -y install wget perl screen |
Download cPanel’s installer script:
# wget http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/latest |
Start a screen session so you can resume the cPanel installation in case you close the shell session accidentally:
# screen -S cp_install |
To detach from the screen type Ctrl+A and then D. To resume the screen: screen -r cp_install
Run the installer:
# sh latest |
The installation may take up to several hours to complete. It all depends on your hardware specification.

If you would like to host your sites’ DNS zones with VPS.NET or somewhere eslse, it is better to choose “Disabled” on this step.
Next, type nameservers which you would like to be as default on your VPS. Here is an example:
